Mr Robin Oake KStJ QPM LL.B FCTM
We welcome as the guest speaker at the 2008 National Prayer Breakfast Mr Robin Oake, retired Chief Constable of the Isle of Man. Mr Oake served with The Metropolitan Police from 1957-1975, where he progressed from the rank of Constable to Chief Inspector. While serving on the directing staff of the National Police College Bramshill, he read Law at University College London and Grays Inn. In 1978 he transferred to the Greater Manchester Police in the position of Superintendent. During his service in Manchester he progressed to Assistant Chief Constable. In 1986 he was appointed Chief Constable of the Isle of Man, where he served until his retirement in 1999.
