Meeting with Albert Bogle
Peter Nimmo (Old High St. Stephen's) writes:
Dear Colleagues,
Once again this year Old High St Stephen's congregation will be hosting a series of evening services at the Old High Church featuring prominent names as guest preachers. The first preacher this year will be the convenor of the Church of Scotland's Church Without Walls group, the Rev Albert Bogle, on Sunday 13 April at 8pm. Please find below an intimation which I would ask you make over the next few Sundays.
Albert Bogle will be taking the chance of his trip to Inverness to promote the forthcoming National Gathering at Ingliston on 3-4 May, a huge event for folks of all age groups and denominations (see http://www.cwwresources.org.uk/ng/ ).
As part of that process, he has asked we organise a meeting for clergy. This will take place on Monday 14 April at 10am in the lounge at Crown Church. I recognize that that is an awkward time for some, but it is a chance for us to find out about how we might participate in the National Gathering and to hear the latest about Church Without Walls. If you are unable to attend, it would be perfectly acceptable to send someone else along to represent your congregation!
We see these services as a gift of our congregation to the entire Christian community of Inverness, and so we do hope you will support them. I am also always interested to know if colleagues have ideas for speakers- please do let me know!
I look forward to welcoming you and members of your congregation to our evening services.
With all best wishes,
Peter W Nimmo
